Happy National Homemade Soup Day! There’s nothing better than curling up with a warm bowl of soup on a cold winter day and this “holiday” couldn’t have come at a better time, especially with the blizzards hitting our CRAVE locations in Bethesda, Omaha, and Minnesota in the last couple weeks!
We stand behind the best homemade soups being delicious and taking the least amount of effort, so without further ado here’s our list of 5 homemade soups that use only 5 ingredients!

We recently sat down with the Executive Director of the Buford Foundation, Cliff McEvoy to learn more about this great organization:
What is the Buford Foundation?
The Buford Foundation was started by Father Kenney, a local Priest, who would go to hospitals in the area to entertain kids. While he was visiting these hospitals one of the children had a puppet named Buford, and when she passed away she told her parents she wanted Father Kenney to have Buford. From there, Buford has become the symbol of courage that kids today need. (more…)
Not only do we have an awesome team lead by Executive Chef Brian Adair, but CRAVE is honored to be hosting the judges while they decide which ramen is the king (or queen) of them all!
“45 minutes and $500 changes a life.”
Throughout the entire month of October, your generous donation will help fund life-altering reconstructive surgeries and related healthcare services to impoverished children and adults in developing nations. Help us provide greater hope to these families – simply “Round It Up“!

“Wellness and health made extremely fun!”
On July 8th, CRAVE Omaha served up a great start to a full day of fun, adventure, and wellness! As a sponsor for Partnership 4 Kid’s “Amazing Race” event, CRAVE had a blast hosting breakfast for 25 8th grade students before they embarked on their adventure. The event was part of a workshop intended to help the students learn about ways to be mindful about total wellness through the mind, body, and spirit…and make it “extremely fun”!
Partnership 4 Kids (P4K) operates a goal-setting and group mentoring program serving more than 5,000 students in over 20 Omaha public schools. With a vision “to build a community that advances the education of today’s youth and prepares them for tomorrow’s careers”, P4K builds hope for under-served students by helping them create a foundation for success from kindergarten to their careers. CRAVE Omaha was proud to join P4K in support of this great cause to our community, and thanks the organization for everything it does for the young people of Omaha.

CRAVE Omaha recently had a blast sponsoring the fifth annual Junior League of Omaha’s High Heel Dash at Midtown Crossing.
Participants raised pledges and gathered in team costumes outside CRAVE sporting their favorite pair of heels. Teams were divided into four divisions: Women, Men, Boomers & Beyond, and four-person relay and dashed 50 yards in heels in support of a great cause.
All funds raised benefit the Junior League of Omaha, an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
CRAVE hosted a special happy hour for all participants after the fun-filled event!
